Ain't it the truth! Seriously, Capcom can take ANYTHING regardless of the concept and make a full-blown robot master out of it. Even sheep. Plus, the punchline in reference to the total screwing of the ears which we know as Mega Man 8 is a real riot. Honestly, what were they thinking when they also hired a cousin of Elmer Fudd to voice Dr. Light?? My only guess is with the 32-bit era at hand, the guys at Capcom invested a buttload of funds in animating the sprites to perfection, and they probably had barely anything left in the budget to find decent voice acting for the english du(m)b. At least that wasn't the case in the OAV, Upon A Star. [link] A sweet little gender-confused 5-year-old? Certainly not. A smart-allac teenager with a habit of making lame puns? None of that either. A badass fourth-grader on a mission? That's more like it! Who knew they actually got the voice right at one time? And even though he wasn't all big on emotions and stuff, he is a robot after all, so go figure. Sure the plot was a bit on the cheesy side, but it still ROCKED just because of how the voices fit almost perfectly on not only Mega Man, but pretty much everyone else. Besides, hearing a silent 8-bit videogame icon talk for the first time without it making your ears bleed, let alone seeing them pop out into the real world, would be a dream come true for any hardcore retro gamer.
